Sir Vincent OkoyeChief (Sir) Vincent C. Okoye is an Umueri Born Community Leader, Philanthropist, disciplinarian and administrator of great repute; he was born into the family of Chief Thomas Okoye of Nneyi Umueri. A good family man, he is married to Lady Christiana U. Okoye and blessed with four children, two males and two females.  

As a trained Engineer and administrator, he has worked with many reputable companies of which includes British Multinational Company Taylor Woodrow Limited where he was able to rose to prominence and retired as the Company’s Managing Director after giving more than 25 Consecutive years of meritorious service to the firm.  

He is presently a member of institution of management specialist London, and chairman Vin C. Okoye and Sons Company and its subsidiaries. He has over the years been honored and privileged to serve in below categories in his quest to better mankind and his community.

As a Community Leader he has championed a lot of developmental project to Umueri in particular and Nigeria in general: It was on record that after the Nigeria/Biafra Civil war, this great man singlehandedly fought vehemently for reopening of Umueri Community Hospital which was closed then, through the help of philanthropic and humanitarian organizations. He also enshrined his name on Umueri History when out of Odd; he consequently fought and made it possible the conversion of Umueri Community Hospital to Umueri General Hospital as its known today. All the logistic including the inspection and approval of General Hospital by the then Ministry of Health, and the two third required majority vote from all the towns in Anambra division was equally made possible through his effort  at Anambra Divisional Office Otuocha.

 He worked in the Hospital as Theater Technician before proceeding to further his education. Since then, he has been promoting benevolent and charitable activities. He is an incubator of progressive ideas and lovers of youth development, less privileged and service to humanity.
