OBITUARY: Ezendigbo of Gwagwalada goes home !


The family of Chief Nweakwu Uyeamesi Okafor,of Amukwa Umunchezi - Umueri has lost the Patriarch of the family, HRH, Chief Nweakwu Uyeamesi Okafor of Amukwa Adegbe Umueri to death. The Deceased, who was the Eze Ndigbo of Gwagwalada area of Abuja died in the morning of 12th May 2013 after a brief Illness according to information made available by one of his surviving Daughter, Ms. Ngozi Jane Okafor.

The Deceased was the first Pioneer Eze Ndigbo in the Old Northern Region of Nigeria and was born in the year 1930. He hailed from Amukwa Adegbe Umueri in Anambra East of Anambra State. Prior to his death,Chief Nweakwu Okafor was a Generous man who devoted his time in charitable ventures

He is survived by 5 Successful Sons and 2 Daughters along with many other relations

Arrangements towards his burial is still scanty at the time of this Press Release.
