1896 - Umueri Community received the Royal Niger Company and signed a treaty allowing them to use Otuocha as their base in trading expedition
1904 - Umueri Community received the Christian Missionary Society(CMS)
1904 - St Immanuel Anglican Church Umuatoulu was established by the Ivite Umueri Community.
1910 - Umueri elders in Otuocha ceded portion of Otuocha land to Umuoba- Anam- migrants from Anam across the Omaballa River
1912 - St Gabriel Anglican Church Udeabor Otuocha was established.
1930 - Umueri Elders sued Aguleri over Otuocha land following spontaneous rise in buildings of Aguleri in the town
1935 - Umueri Community was sued over Otuocha land by the Aguleri elders.
1957 - General hospital Umueri was built by Umueri Youths Association & completed in the same year 1957
1959 - Umueri Postal Agency was built by Umueri Youths Association
1960 - Igwe Nelson Ugume Okoye crowned Igwe Okebo 1 of Umueri 1964- Communal Clash erupted between Umueri & Aguleri 1975 - Umueri Town Hall, built by Umueri Development Organisation 1980 - Umueri Girls High school - built by Ugume village Umueri 1982 - Umueri Technical School - built by Umunchezi Umueri 1984 - Community Secondary School, Umuatuolu - built by Ivite Umueri 1984 - Supreme Court Judgement on Otuocha land dispute between Aguleri and Umuleri, while admiting in the judgement that Otuocha land was "vacant iece of land... and that its the people of umueri who first lived in the land before the Aguleri filtered into it" 1988 - Avia Ama market - built by Umudiana village 1989 - Eke market - built by Nneyi Umueri 1990 - Umueri post office - built by Umueri general assembly, Lagos 1994 - Sign Post of Umueri & Statute of Blessed Virgin Mary in Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church were razed down by Aguleri Youths 1995 - Aguleri Invaded Umueri which leads to Communal Clashes 1999 - 2nd Communal Crisis erupted again between Aguleri & Umueri 2003 - Orient Petroleum Resources discovered Oil and Gas in Commercial Quantities in Umueri.
2009 - Federal Government approved the proposed Anambra State Cargo Airport to be cited in Umueri
